Chien Jin Plastic Sdn Bhd had its beginning in 1985, when it started its operations as an unincorporated partnership under the name of Chien Jin Plastic. It was then a small-scale manufacturer of miscellaneous plastic injection products. Following its management's strategic decision to specialise in the development and manufacturing of thermoplastic pipe fittings, the company in 1992 had began producing a wide range of PP Compression Fittings for the water supply industry. It later diversified itself into manufacturing various other products range like PE Stub End, End Cap & Reducer, PP Clamp Saddle, PE Socket Fusion Fittings, PE Fabricated Fittings and wide range of irrigation system products.

In meeting the market demand for high quality products, Chien Jin Plastic Sdn Bhd's products has throughout the years achieved numerous recognition from various national and independent certification bodies like Standards Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM), Ikram Quality & Certification Institute (IQCI) and also recognition from various state government water authorities. Of late the company has been awarded the prestigious ISO 9002 (registration no. 56383) from Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI), which assures its customers, it possesses a quality system that corresponds to the international standard for quality management system.

Building on its many years of experience, the company has become a leading supplier of thermoplastic pipe fittings to the plumbing, construction and agricultural sectors. The company markets its products under the established 'CJ FISH' brand through its subsidiary company - Gathery Trading Sdn Bhd which has a wide distribution network throughout Malaysia.

As Malaysian becomes more affluent and its people more conscious about health and the quality of water supply, Chien Jin Plastic Sdn Bhd sees a significant role for itself in the nation's development of a more reliable and efficient water distribution system. To achieve this, the company will continue to put emphasis on Research and Development to upgrade and enhance the functionality of its thermoplastic pipe fittings so as to establish a wider acceptance of such fittings both in Malaysia and export market.
